Photographic grade inkjet printing ink is the subject of HG/T 4129-2010, a recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry. The document classifies these products and then lays down their requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to water-based inks of photographic grade intended for inkjet printing. Testing and sampling refer to GB/T 191, GB/T 2828.1, GB/T 6388 and QB/T 2730.1-2005, while restricted substances are handled through RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and its amendment 2005/618/EC. The standard carries Chinese classification G80 and ICS 37.040.20 under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Issued on 22 November 2010, it has applied since 1 March 2011.
