HG/T 4037-2008 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for emulsifying agent FM. It states the product requirements, the sampling, the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. It serves the quality control of the emulsifier obtained by esterifying triethanolamine with oleic acid. That product is used mainly as a processing aid in the manufacture of phthalocyanine pigments and as a water/oil phase emulsifier in inks, pesticides and paints. Its sampling and analytical conventions come from GB/T 1250-1989, GB/T 6678-2003 and GB/T 6682. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
