HG/T 3999-2008 is the English-translated version of 合成氨取水定额.

HG/T 3999-2008 is the Chinese chemical industry standard that fixes the water intake norm for synthetic ammonia production. It gives the terms and definitions used for the water quota, the calculation methods and the quantity of water allowed per tonne of synthetic ammonia. It is written for plants making synthetic ammonia from natural gas or from coal whose single-line annual capacity is below 300,000 tonnes, and it serves the management of water withdrawal in that process. Measurement and accounting follow GB/T 12452, GB/T 18820 and GB/T 18916.3-2002. The standard is a recommended one, filed under Chinese classification G01 and ICS 71.010. Issued on 1 February 2008, it has applied since 1 July 2008.
