HG/T 3942-2007 is a recommended chemical industry standard of China that gives a method of analysis. It describes the determination of the metal and non-metal ion content of sodium hydroxide for industrial use by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. The method is intended for industrial sodium hydroxide products. The standard is classified G11 in the Chinese system and placed in the international group 71.060.40 for sodium hydroxide, and it quotes GB/T 602 and GB/T 6682. Issued on 20 July 2007, it has applied since 1 January 2008.
