HG/T 3924-2007 is the Chinese chemical industry standard that sets out a dynamic simulation test for boiler water treatment chemicals. It gives the requirements and the test procedure for judging the scale-inhibiting and corrosion-inhibiting performance of chemicals dosed into boilers fired by coal, oil, gas or electricity. It applies to steam boilers rated at 2.5 MPa or less with water as the medium, to combined steam and water boilers and to fixed pressurized hot water boilers, covering performance in the boiler water, in the vapour phase and along the steam condensate pipework. In-furnace treatment devices and physical water conditioners may be assessed by reference to it. Classified G76 with the international group 71.040.40, it is used with GB 1576, GB/T 6903, GB/T 15451, GB/T 18175 and HG/T 3523. Issued on 13 April 2007, it has applied since 1 October 2007.
