HG/T 3916-2006 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China for frequency-spectrum microcomputer sterilizers used on water systems. It fixes the classification, the naming and the structure of these units, then their requirements, test methods, inspection rules and the rules for packaging, transport and storage. The equipment in its scope is the spectrum-type microcomputer sterilizer whose bactericidal action is directed at sulfate-reducing bacteria and Legionella in the water of such systems. It quotes the GB/T 6587 and GB/T 6833 series and with GB 191, GB 4793.1, GB/T 6593-1996, GB/T 8166, GB 9969.1, GB/T 11463, GB/T 11465, GB/T 13166, GB/T 13183-1991, SJ/T 10463 and SY/T 0532. Issued on 26 July 2006, it has applied since 1 March 2007.
