Liquid chlorine production is covered by HG/T 30025-2018, a recommended chemical industry safety standard. It sets safety requirements for production materials, rules for safe production and for electrical and mechanical equipment, requirements for filling and managing liquid chlorine cylinders and tank trucks, rules for their storage and transport, requirements for the storage and use of liquid chlorine storage tanks, provisions on labor protection and the working environment, and emergency response. It applies to plants that take chlorine from the electrolysis of sodium chloride solution and liquefy it by the low pressure low temperature, medium temperature medium pressure or high temperature high pressure route, including vaporization, air compression and dynamic machinery such as immersed and canned pumps. Refrigeration systems are excluded. It supersedes HG A005-1983, was issued on 21 December 2018 and took effect on 1 July 2019.

This standard specifies the safety requirements for liquid chlorine production materials, safety production regulations, safety technical regulations for electromechanical equipment, safety requirements for filling and management of liquid chlorine cylinder tank trucks, storage and transportation of liquid chlorine cylinders, and liquid chlorine storage tanks. Safety regulations for storage and use, labor protection and the working environment, and emergency response. This standard is applicable to the chlorine gas produced by electrolytic sodium chloride solution. It adopts low pressure low temperature method, medium temperature medium pressure method or high temperature and high pressure method to prepare liquid chlorine and uses liquid chlorine to vaporize, compress air or use dynamic machinery (such as submerged pump, shield pump, etc.) Production of liquid chlorine (excluding refrigeration systems).
