HG/T 2509-2012 is the English-translated version of 甲烷化催化剂.
HG/T 2509-2012 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for methanation catalysts. It defines the types J101, J105 and J106Q and sets the requirements for them, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, storage and transport. The catalysts it covers are those used in ammonia plants, methanol plants and hydrogen production units. Its text refers to GB/T 191, GB/T 6678 and GB/T 8170, and to the chemical industry standards HG/T 2510, HG/T 2511, HG/T 2782 and HG/T 2976. It replaces the earlier edition HG 2509-2004. Issued on 28 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.
