1 Scope

This document shows how to select the wheelchair vehicle required by the user according to the national standards for wheelchair vehicles. This document gives standardized tests and information

Information release, comprehensive consideration of wheelchair selection, occupant physical characteristics, manual wheelchairs, and guides for electric wheelchairs can help users understand

Purpose and content of national standards for wheelchairs.

The content of this document consists of the following six chapters.

a) How to use this technical report.

b) Standardized testing methods and information release. Provides background for standardized testing information for wheelchairs. Explains how wheelchairs are tested

Try how the information should be distributed.

c) Comprehensive Considerations. Describes comprehensive considerations regarding the selection of manual or electric wheelchairs.

d) Physical characteristics of the occupant. a manual wheelchair or an electric wheelchair that is suitable for the physical characteristics of the occupant.

e) Manual wheelchair. Describes the test method for manual wheelchairs.

f) Electric wheelchairs. describes the test methods for electric wheelchairs, focusing on three- and four-wheeled electric scooters and standard electric wheels

Chair car.

The test methods in the manual and power wheelchair chapters are based on the following three aspects.

---size.

For each test, this document contains the following.

---The reason why the user needs this test result;

--- Briefly describe the method of standardized testing;

---How the manufacturer should publish the test results in the product technical file;

---How to interpret these test results from the user's point of view.
