GB/Z 18029.11-2021 (Wheelchairs - Part 11: Test dummies) is available as an English-translated PDF.

GB/Z 18029.11-2021 — This document specifies the requirements for all test dummies greater than or equal to 25kg used for wheelchair testing, and supports various body parts of the dummies. The characteristics of the sub-loading pad give the position of the overall center of mass of the dummy, the mass of the body parts that make up the dummy, and the rotation connecting these body parts. The calculation formula of the axis position and the informational table of the dummy mass and centroid position calculated by the formula and the corresponding test dummy real Example (the mass increases every 25kg, up to 300kg). This document is applicable to manual wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs for stability test, static load strength test, impact strength test, fatigue strength Used as a test dummy for loading during testing. This document does not consider the mass distribution of limb atrophy or amputees. This document anticipates that the improvement of the test dummy will enable manual wheelchairs, The static stability test, performance test and fatigue test of electric wheelchairs (including electric scooters) can produce comparable results. Note. The position of the center of mass of the dummy during the test is basically the same as the position of the center of mass of a person of the corresponding mass sitting in a wheelchair, or standing with a person with a mass of up to 100kg The position of the center of mass when standing on a vertical wheelchair is the same.

Introduction

According to the document user principle, GB/T 18029 "Wheelchair" stipulates that wheelchair users, manufacturers, testing agencies and other related parties pay attention to

Requirements for the design, performance, testing, infrastructure, and information release of the wheelchair. GB/T 18029 is intended to consist of 22 parts.

---Part 1.Determination of static stability;

---Part 2.Determination of the dynamic stability of electric wheelchairs;

---Part 3.Determination of brakes;

---Part 4.Determination of the theoretical energy consumption of electric wheelchairs and electric scooters;

---Part 5.Determination of overall dimensions, quality and steering space;

---Part 6.Determination of the maximum speed, acceleration and deceleration of electric wheelchairs;

---Part 7.Measurement of seat and wheel size;

---Part 8.Requirements and test methods for static strength, impact strength and fatigue strength;

---Part 9.Climate test methods for electric wheelchairs;

---Part 10.Determination of obstacle crossing ability of electric wheelchairs;

---Part 11.Test dummy;

---Part 13.Determination of test surface friction coefficient;

---Part 14.Requirements and test methods for power and control systems of electric wheelchairs and electric scooters;

---Part 15.Information release, document issuance and labeling requirements;

---Part 25.Batteries and chargers for electric wheelchairs;

---Part 26.Terminology;

---Part 28.Requirements and test methods for stair climbing appliances;

---Part 30.Test methods and requirements for wheelchairs that change the occupant's posture.

Among them, Part 26 is terminology; Part 11 and Part 13 stipulate the infrastructure requirements for wheelchair testing; Part 22 regulates

The test preparation requirements are specified; Part 15 specifies the information release requirements; Part 1, Part 3, Part 5, Part 7, and Part 8

Part, Part 10, and Part 16 stipulate the general requirements and test methods for all wheelchairs (including manual and electric); Part 2,

Part 4, Part 6, Part 9, Part 14, Part 21, and Part 25 stipulate that only the requirements and requirements for electric wheelchairs are involved.

Test method; Part 19, Part 28 and Part 30 stipulate the requirements for special functional wheelchairs.

When testing a wheelchair, a device is often used to simulate the occupant. Test dummy specially designed for motor vehicle crash test

As this device is very suitable, but the price is too expensive, so a low-cost alternative is needed. GB/T 18029.11 released in.2008

The first edition stipulated a series of dummies suitable for most wheelchair testing. The design of this series of dummy considers the total mass of the load and the quality of the occupant.

The approximate condition of the volume distribution, durability, relatively low manufacturing price and avoid unnecessary damage to the wheelchair during the test.

In recent years, the first edition of GB/T 18029.11 and related specifications test dummies have been used in practice, which shows that this series of dummies cannot provide consistent

Repeatable test results, this problem is particularly prominent in static stability testing and dynamic stability testing. Based on this, certain aspects of

Improvement. Expand the quality range of the dummy, the quality of the dummy can be set arbitrarily, the position of the overall center of mass of the dummy can be determined and the overall center of mass of the dummy can be adjusted

s position. The second edition of this document plans to implement these improvements.

The ability to measure and adjust the position of the center of mass of the dummy eliminates many regulations in the design of the dummy, which also allows the quality of the dummy to be

Need to change.

The formula for calculating the centroid position of the dummy provided in this document is based on existing research data. Dummy quality range and occupant quality

The quantity distribution will also change. If there are new data, this document will reflect such changes in future versions.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in ISO 7176-26 apply to this document.

3.1

Forwardlocation

The distance measured forward in the direction perpendicular to the reference surface of the backrest support.

Note. In this document, when the test dummy is installed on the test fixture, the back support reference surface is equivalent to the front surface of the back support of the test tooling (see 5.1).

3.2

Height

The distance measured upward in the direction perpendicular to the seat support datum surface.

Note. In this document, when the test dummy is installed on the test fixture, the seat reference surface is equivalent to the upper surface of the seat of the test fixture (see 5.1).

3.3

Loadingpad

A component composed of a loading plate (3.4) and a foam material, which transmits the load of the test dummy (3.7) to the wheelchair during the test.

Note. The foam material is part of the loading pad and is used to contact the wheelchair.

3.4

Loadingplate

Used to load the rigid plate in the pad.

3.5

Lowerlegsegment

The part of the test dummy (3.7) that simulates the human calf and foot.
