2 Scope

This standard is a Chinese national guiding technical document in the series on industrial automation systems and integration and on product data representation and exchange. Part 1002 specifies the application module for colour, the colour information carried with product data. It is used to define that colour information, while the semantics of how colour is specified and used are left outside it. The text also warns that using it together with ISO 10303-517 leads to overlapping scopes and to a name conflict on the EXPRESS entity draughting-pre-defined-color. It quotes GB/T 16262.1, GB/T 16656.46-1998, GB/T 16656.202-2000 and GB/Z 16656.1001-2004, and adopts ISO/TS 10303-1002-2001 identically.
