7.2 Electrical performance
7.2.1 Environmental conditions
Unless otherwise specified, the sample battery should be tested at a temperature of 20 degrees C +/- 2 degrees C and a relative humidity of 15% to 75%.
The battery may be used at low temperatures, so supplementary inspections of 0 degrees C+/-2 degrees C and -10 degrees C+/-2 degrees C should be carried out.
7.2.2 Equivalent circuit-equivalent internal resistance-DC method
The resistance of any electronic component is calculated by calculating the voltage drop deltaU across the component and the current variable that flows through the component and causes the voltage drop
Determined by the ratio of deltai, R=deltaU/deltai.
Note. The DC internal resistance of any electrochemical cell is determined according to formula (1).
Ri(ohm)=
deltaU(V)
deltai(A)
(1)
The DC internal resistance is illustrated by the instantaneous voltage diagram in Figure 4.
Figure 4 Schematic diagram of instantaneous voltage
It can be seen from Figure 4 that the voltage drop properties of the two parts of deltaU are different, as shown in formula (2).
deltaU=deltaUohm deltaU(t) (2)
The first part of the ohmic drop deltaUohm (at t=t1) has nothing to do with time, it is caused by the increase of current deltai, and its relationship is as formula (3)
Shown.
The second part deltaU(t) is related to time and is caused by electrochemical factors (capacitive reactance).
7.2.3 Testing equipment
The equipment used for voltage detection should have the following characteristics.
a) Accuracy. not less than 0.25%;
b) Precision. not less than 50% of the last digit;
c) Internal resistance. >=1Mohm;
d) Timing of measurement. When performing the following inspections, make sure that the closed-circuit voltage measurement is performed in the plateau area of the voltage transient (see Figure 5).
Very important, otherwise it will cause measurement errors (small internal resistance) due to capacitive reactance.
The time required for measurement deltat' is short compared with deltat, and the testing equipment should be adapted to these requirements.
