Scope
GB/T 7731.17-2023 is the English-translated version of 钨铁 钴、镍、铝含量的测定 电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法.
GB/T 7731.17-2023 is the Chinese national method for determining cobalt, nickel and aluminium in ferrotungsten by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.
The sample is decomposed with oxalic acid and hydrogen peroxide, mixed acid is added to precipitate tungstic acid so that the tungsten can be filtered off, and the remaining solution is run into the spectrometer, where the spectral intensities of the three elements are read against a calibration curve; the reagents are oxalic acid, hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric, sulfuric and nitric acids, a mixed acid and the standard stock solutions of the three elements.
It covers mass fractions from 0.010 % to 5.00 %, and among the standards it quotes are GB/T 4010 on sampling of iron alloys, GB/T 6682 and GB/T 8170. Issued on 27 November 2023, it has applied since 1 June 2024.
