This section is part 3 of the "Fixed Capacitor for Electronic Equipment".

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Part 1. GB/T 14121-1993 "Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment - Part 3. Sectional specification - Chip tantalum fixed capacitors (For certification) ".

This part compared with GB/T 14121-1993, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- standard name to "surface mount MnO2 solid electrolyte tantalum fixed capacitor";

- Added the terms and requirements of "Category 1" (see 1.5.3), "Category 2" (see 1.5.4), "Category 3" (see 1.5.5)

--- surge voltage from "1.15 times" adjusted to "1.3 times" (see 2.2.5);

--- increase the capacitance and voltage mark code (see 1.6.2);

- increased installation conditions and final measurement requirements (see 4.3);

- specifies the DC bias applied when measuring the capacitance (see 4.5.2.1);

- the specific provisions of the loss tangent are deleted (see 4.5.3);

--- Change the AC peak of the impedance measurement voltage from "100mV" to "0.5V"; change the measurement error from "± 5%" to "± 10% (See 4.5.4.1);

- increased equivalent series resistance (ESR) (required) (see 4.5.5);

- increased high surge current (when applicable) (see 4.19);

--- Added Appendix A and Appendix B.

This part uses the translation method equivalent to IEC 60384-3.:2006 "Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment Part 3. Sectional specification surfaces Installation of MnO2 solid electrolyte tantalum fixed capacitors ".

In this part of the normative reference to the international documents have a consistent correspondence between the following documents.

1 General

1.1 Scope

This part applies to surface mount solid electrolyte tantalum capacitors. This type of capacitor is mainly used for direct mounting on a hybrid circuit substrate or printed on the circuit board.

Including two types. type I protective layer of the capacitor and type II without protective layer of the capacitor.

1.2 Purpose

The purpose of this section is to specify the priority ratings and characteristics for this type of capacitor and to select from the appropriate part of GB/T 2693-2001 the quality assessment procedures, test and measurement methods, as well as the general performance requirements of this type of capacitor. Refer to the detailed specification for this section the test severity level and requirements specified should have the same or higher performance level and do not allow degradation of the performance level.

1.4 Detailed specifications should be specified in the content

The detailed specification should be prepared in accordance with the relevant blank specification.

The requirements specified in the detailed specification should not be lower than the general specification, the specification or the blank specification. When more stringent requirements are included, should be detailed Specification listed in 1.9, and indicate in the test list, such as. plus asterisk.

Each detailed specification shall give the following. The reference value shall be prioritized from the values specified in the corresponding clause of this part.

1.4.1 Outline drawing and size

In order to facilitate identification and comparison with other capacitors, should be attached to the outline of the container. The detailed specification should give the effect of interchangeability and Installation dimensions and tolerances. All dimensions should be noted in millimeters.
