This Part is the second part of GB/T 6185.

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Standard replaces GB/T 6185.2-2000 Prevailing torque type all-metal

hexagon nuts, style 2 - Fine pitch thread. Compared with GB/T 6185.2-2000,

the main technical changes are as follows.

- deleted "If other technical requirements are required,... select among

(such as GB/T 3098.9 and GB/T 3103.1)" (Clause 1 of Edition 2000);

- unified reference thread standards as GB/T 193, GB/T 9145 (Clause 2);

This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on

Fastener of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 85).

1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 6185 specifies type sizes, technical conditions and marks of

prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts, style 2 - fine pitch thread.

This Standard is applicable to prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts,

style 2 - fine pitch thread of which thread nominal diameters are D = 8 mm ~ 36

mm, performance grades are 8, 10 and 12, the product grades are A and B.

Grade A is used for nuts of which D <= 16 mm; Grade B is used for nuts of which

D > 16 mm.

NOTE In addition to mw and hmax, this nut equals to GB/T 6176 nut.
