This Part was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Part replaced GB/T 6183.2-2000 Prevailing Torque Type Hexagon Nuts with

Flange (with Non-Metallic Insert) with Fine Pitch Thread; compared with GB/T 6183.2-

2000, this part has the major technical changes as follows.

--- Modify the standard name;

--- Delete "if other technical requirements are needed,... the selection in GB/T

1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 6183 specifies the type and dimension, technical conditions and

markings of prevailing torque tyke hexagon nuts with flange (with non-metallic insert),

style 2 – fine pitch thread.

This Part is applicable to the prevailing torque tyke hexagon nuts with flange (with non-

metallic insert), style 2 with thread nominal diameter D=8mm~20mm, fine thread and

Property Class 6, 8 and 10, Product Grades A and B. Grade A is applied to the nuts

with D<=16; while Grade B is applied to the nuts with D >16mm.

NOTE. such nuts equals to GB/T 6177.2 plus the effective torque part.
