This Part was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Part replaced GB/T 6183.1-2000 Prevailing Torque Type Hexagon Nuts with

Flange (with Non-Metallic Insert); compared with GB/T 6183.1-2000, this Part has the

major technical changes as follows.

--- Modify the standard name;

--- Delete "if other technical requirements are needed,... the selection in GB/T

1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 6183 specifies the type and dimension, technical conditions and

markings of prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with flange (with non-metallic insert),

style 2.

This Part is applicable to the prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with flange (with non-

metallic insert), style 2 with thread specification M5~M20, Property Class 8 and 10,

Product Grades A and B. Grade A is applied to the nuts with D<=16; while Grade B is

applied to the nuts with D >16mm.

NOTE. such nuts equal to GB/T 6177.1 plus effective torque part.
