Scope
GB/T 47893-2026 is the English-translated version of 影像材料 已加工影像材料 相册、相框和储存材料.
GB/T 47893-2026 — This document specifies the main physical and chemical requirements for photo albums, photo frames, and storage materials to prevent them from deteriorating over time.
Or the printed image material may be damaged. This document applies to paper and cardboard, plastics, metals, writing instruments, adhesives, tapes, self-adhesive labeling materials, embossing inks, and padding.
And for use in the storage and display of photographic negatives, whether for the construction of black-and-white or color reflective photographs or made from traditional silver halide and silver dye bleaching photographic materials.
The display materials include picture frames and glass materials, as well as inkjet and thermal sublimation technologies based on dyes and pigments (also known as "dye sublimation"), and liquid dry printing.
Electrostatic printing of digital photos using toners. This document does not provide design, construction, or durability specifications for the materials themselves for storage and display.
These requirements are limited to the characteristics of the material being stored or displayed. When the image material is stored or displayed under the recommended conditions, these characteristics will affect the image. Like materials that produce chemical or physical effects.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document is modified to adopt ISO 18902:2013 "Image materials - processed image materials - albums, frames and storage materials".
The technical differences between this document and ISO 18902:2013, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.
---Replace ASTM D1193 (see 4.1) with the normatively referenced GB/T 6682-2008 to adapt to my country's technical conditions and add...
Operability;
---Replace ISO 12757-1:1998 and ISO 12757-2:1998 (see 4.5.2) with the normatively referenced GB/T 26714-2019.
The consistency between components needs to be modified to adapt to my country's technical conditions and increase operability;
---Replace ISO 14145-1:1998 and ISO 14145-2:1998 (see 4.5.2) with the normatively referenced GB/T 32017-2019.
The consistency between the components was modified to adapt to my country's technical conditions and increase operability.
---Added a note on "slip agent" (see 3.7).

Introduction
This document contains specifications for materials used in image storage and display, such as envelopes (see Appendix A), boxes, albums, and frames, to ensure their...
It will not damage the imaging materials in the packaging or accelerate the natural aging of the imaging materials.
Specifying the chemical and physical properties of materials for storage and display does not, in itself, guarantee satisfactory storage or display performance. Providing suitable...
The storage temperature, humidity, and light level (if shown) should be controlled to protect imaging materials from fire, water, and fungal growth, and to avoid contact with certain solid materials.
Contact with solid, liquid, or gaseous chemicals (such as air pollutants), and prevention of physical damage, are crucial for ensuring the safe storage and display of imaging materials.
Display performance is also very important.
The following international standards provide recommended storage conditions for different types of image materials. ISO 18911, ISO 18918, ISO 18920, and...
ISO 18934.
This document does not apply to ancillary materials that may be stored with the image materials, such as documents and ephemeris tables (regarding the permanence of the paper used for documents).
Requirements, see ISO 9706).
Please note that the term "archival grade" is not used in international standards for image materials or storage and display materials because the meaning of "archival grade" has changed.
