1 Scope

GB/T 47308-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the living collection of forage grasses and legumes - the site and layout, the accessions and their planting and regeneration, the records kept on each and the evaluation that makes the collection useful to breeders. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 forage germplasm resources Plant resources that have different genetic bases and can pass on genetic information to offspring.

3.2 Forage germplasm resources nursery A facility used for the collection, preservation, identification, evaluation, propagation, renewal, and innovative utilization of forage germplasm resources.

4 Site selection

4.1 Nursery sites should be established in areas that conform to the natural ecological distribution of forage germplasm resources, are representative, and have relatively consistent site conditions.

4.2 It is advisable to choose a site that is easily accessible, far away from areas that may cause serious pollen pollution, has fewer harmful factors, and is relatively flat.
