Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document is Part 55 of GB/T 4706 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances". GB/T 4706 has been published as follows part.

--- Part 1: General requirements;

This document replaces GB 4706.55-2008 "Particular requirements for safety insulation panels and similar appliances for household and similar electrical appliances" and Compared with GB 4706.55-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Changed the user groups not considered (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2008 edition);

--- Added the definition of thermal functional surface (see 3.6.101);

--- Added marking requirements (see 7.1);

--- Added graphic symbols for high temperature surfaces and related requirements (see 7.6, 7.14, 7.15);

--- Added warnings that should be included in the instructions for use (see 7.12);

--- Added the temperature rise measurement method and limit for easily accessible external surfaces (see 11.3, 11.8).

This document is equivalent to IEC 60335-2-12:2017 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances Part 2-12.Insulation Panels and Similar Electrical Appliances" Particular requirements for appliances.

The following minimal editorial changes were made to this document.

--- The name of the standard was changed to "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances Part 55: Particular Requirements for Insulation Panels and Similar Appliances", and Strengthen the coordination of the standard system.

Introduction

GB/T 4706 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances" adopts most of IEC 60335.On this basis, GB/T 4706 refers to the structure of IEC 60335 is divided into several parts, consisting of general requirements and special requirements. Part 1 is general requirements, and the other parts are for products covered by special requirements, their safety requirements are general requirements used in combination with the special requirements.

For the parts marked as "added" in this document, in addition to complying with GB/T 4706.1-2024, the provisions in this document shall prevail.

1 Scope

This chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content.

This document specifies the safety requirements for warming plates, dishes and similar appliances intended for keeping food or containers warm for household and similar purposes.

This document applies to insulation boards and insulation plates for household and similar purposes for keeping food or containers warm, with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V.
