3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 20737 and GB/T 35351, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 baling

The surface of the part shows deposits that differ in morphology from the surrounding substrate.

3.2 Dross Adhesion

Partially molten particles adhere to the surface of the part.

3.3 support residue

Printed support structures that were not completely removed from the internal structure of the part.

3.4 Powder

Powder that was not completely removed from the internal structure of the part.

3.5 poor fusion

Irregular gaps exist between layers or between melt channels where unmelted powder exists.

3.6 misalignment

Observable linear geometric offsets appearing in adjacent forming layers or overlapping areas.
