1 Scope

GB/T 46956-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the contractor who dries and stores a farmer's grain - the intake sampling and moisture determination that decide what is owed, the drying conditions that must not damage the grain, the storage and its monitoring, and the settlement of losses. Smallholders cannot own a dryer, so this service is what stands between a wet harvest and a spoiled one. First edition, in force since 1 May 2026. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 May 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
