1 Scope

GB/T 46853-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering a funeral service facing a mass casualty event - the surge capacity for storage and cremation, the identification and record keeping, the infection control where the deaths were from disease, the family liaison and the staff support. It is a standard written from experience nobody wanted. First edition, under the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was issued on 31 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 April 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
