1 Scope

GB/T 46673-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the desolventizer-toaster that strips hexane out of the extracted meal - the trays and the steam, the residual solvent that has to be brought low enough for the meal to be fed to animals, and the explosion protection around a hexane process. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 8873 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 desolventization The process of removing solvent from crude oil by steam distillation at a certain temperature and under vacuum.

3.2 desolventizer tower A tower-type device used for leaching crude oil to remove residual solvents.

4.Working Principle Under specific temperature and vacuum conditions, crude oil is sprayed from the top of the desolventizing tower, where it comes into full contact with steam at a certain pressure.
