1 Scope

GB/T 46573-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the machine vision lens - the classification by focal length and format, and the mount dimensions and flange distances of C, CS and the larger mounts, which is what decides whether a lens and a camera from two suppliers will actually focus. First edition, under the China Machinery Industry Federation, in force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026.

This document defines the terminology for industrial lenses, provides a classification of industrial lenses, and specifies the interface dimensions for industrial lenses. This document applies to the design, production, and trade of industrial lenses.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 13964 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 industrial lenses Lenses suitable for industrial imaging systems, meeting the application needs of different machine vision scenarios.

3.2 telecentric lens Lenses with entrance pupil and/or exit pupil located at infinity, principal rays parallel to the optical axis, and employing telecentric optical paths or telecentric optical systems.

3.3 Lenses with constant working distance and magnification.

3.4 Zoom Lens An optical lens with a constant working distance, which allows the magnification to vary within a certain range by moving a single lens or a group of lenses.

3.5 Turning angle lens The object plane and the image plane are at 90° to each other, and the lens is folded by adding a folding accessory or the internal optical path of the lens.
