This document establishes the production procedures for Poria cocos strains, specifying the technical requirements and waste management for mother strain production, primary strain production, and cultivar production. The processing requirements describe the content of production record and file management. This document applies to the production of Poria cocos strains.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12728 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Hypha The structural unit of filamentous fungi.

3.2 mycelium An aggregate of hyphae. [Source: GB/T 12728-2006, 2.2.2]
3.3 rhizomorph Rope-like structures formed by the aggregation of hyphae in certain fungi. [Source: GB/T 12728-2006, 2.2.12, with modifications]
3.4 Antagonism The phenomenon of colonies with different genetic makeup inhibiting each other, resulting in non-growing zones or forming different forms of linear edges. [Source: GB/T 12728-2006, 2.3.21]
3.5 Angular sectoring This phenomenon, caused by localized mutations in the mycelium or viral infection, results in thinner mycelia, slower growth, and angular abnormalities on the surface of the mycelium. [Source: GB/T 12728-2006, 2.5.17]
