1 Scope

GB/T 46487-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering what a furniture listing must actually say - the dimensions and the materials of each part rather than of the visible surface, the finish and the formaldehyde class, the assembly required, the images and their fidelity to the product, and the delivery and return terms. First edition, under the China National Light Industry Council. In force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 5 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026.

This document specifies the content, methods, and requirements for describing sales information on online furniture platforms, and describes the corresponding verification methods. This document applies to the information description of furniture products sold on online platforms. This document does not apply to the online sales of second-hand furniture products.
