Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt ISO 19410-1:2022 "Shoe size system - Measurement of shoe cavity - Part 1: Shoe length".

This document has undergone the following structural adjustments compared to ISO 19410-1:2022.

---The section of 5.1.2 states that "when measuring boots without closures (e.g., without laces), the front of the device needs to be longer than..." to ensure the toe clamp is in the correct position. (Refer to section 5.1.1.) the technical differences between this document and ISO 19410-1:2022, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.

---ISO/T S19407.2015 has been replaced by the normatively referenced GB/T 36935-2025 (see Chapters 4, 5.1.1, 8, and 9).

Chapter 9), to adapt to my country's technological conditions and improve operability;

---ISO/T S19408 (see Chapter 3, 5.1.1) has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 36936 to adapt to my country's technical requirements.

Improve operability;

---The section on suspension in Chapter 5, "Common laboratory instruments, especially the following instruments and equipment should be used" (see ISO 19410-1:2022) has been deleted.

Chapter 5);

---The foot length range requirements for children's shoes have been revised (see Table 1, Table 1 of ISO 19410-1:2022) to facilitate the use of the standard;

---The gauge requirements have been changed (see 5.2, ISO 19410-1:2022) to facilitate the use of the standard;

---Sampling requirements have been changed (see Chapter 6 of ISO 19410-1:2022) to facilitate the use of the standard;

---The accuracy requirements for the effective length value of the shoe have been changed (see 7.5, ISO 19410-1:2022), to facilitate the use of the standard;

---The requirements for measurement results have been changed (see Chapter 8 of ISO 19410-1:2022) to facilitate the use of the standard;

---The test report requirements have been changed (see Chapter 9, ISO 19410-1:2022) to facilitate the use of the standard.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---To align with existing standards, the standard title has been changed to "Footwear Inner Cavity Measurement Part 1: Shoe Length";

---ISO/T S19407 has been removed from the terms and definitions;

---The description of index number 10 in the schematic diagram of the length measuring device has been changed (see Figure 1);

---The description of the simplified measuring device for an effective heel height less than or equal to 25mm has been revised (see 5.1);

---The experimental procedure includes an additional description of the selection of the width of the toe fixture (see 7.2).

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 36936 apply to this document.

4 Principles

Insert a pre-sized toe cap into the toe area, and place a heel protrusion cap against the heel protrusion. Along the insole surface...

Alternatively, the distance between the two jigs can be measured close to the insole surface as the effective length of the shoe. The effective length of the shoe can be determined according to GB/T 36935-the effective lengths of shoe lasts in 2025 are compared to determine the predicted shoe size.

5 Instruments and Equipment

5.1 Length measuring instrument

The length measuring instrument includes a toe fixture, a heel protrusion fixture, and a device for measuring the distance between the two fixtures along the inner surface of the sole, as shown in Figure 1a).

As shown. Appropriate equipment can be used depending on the shoe size and style.
