Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt IEC 61993-2:2018 "Automatic Identification Systems for Marine Navigation and Radio Communication Equipment and Systems".

(AIS) Part 2: Common Automatic Identification System (AIS) Category A Shipboard Equipment Operation and Performance Requirements, Test Methods and Test Requirements result".

This document differs significantly from IEC 61993-2:2018.The relevant clauses are indicated in vertical margins.

Single lines (|) are indicated. These technical differences and their reasons are explained in Appendix A.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---The standard name has been changed from "Automatic Identification System (AIS) Part 2 for Marine Navigation and Radio Communication Equipment and Systems" to "Automatic Identification System (AIS) Part 2".

Section. Operation and performance requirements, test methods, and test results for Category A shipboard equipment of the Automatic Identification System (AIS).

The original document was revised to "Performance and Testing Requirements for Category A Ship Automatic Identification System (AIS) Equipment".

---The content of the "Abbreviations" has been changed (see 3.2), adding "BeiDou Navigation Satellite System" and "Galileo Global Navigation Satellite System".

Abbreviations for "Global Navigation Satellite System", "Global Positioning System", "Bit Error Rate", "Global Positioning System", "Session Identifier", "Heading", etc.

To ensure consistency between the document and its surrounding text, abbreviations such as "communication status" and "navigation status" have been removed, and the Chinese terms are used directly to conform to standards.

Quasi-textual expression requirements;

---The example in the sensor initialization phase requirements for AISA-class devices has been modified, changing "GPS" and "GLONASS".

The terms "BDS" and "GPS" (see 6.7) were used to make the document more suitable for my country's national conditions;

---The expression for the maximum absolute measurement uncertainty has been changed and is presented in Table 31 (see 9.5). Subsequent Tables 32-36 will follow.

Corresponding to Tables 31 to 35 of IEC 61993-2:2018.

Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents.

This document was proposed and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China.
