1 Scope

This document specifies the terminology and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and transportation of sockets for machine-grade socket wrenches.

Transportation and storage.

This document applies to socket wrenches and sockets for installing and removing bolts, nuts or other fasteners (hereinafter referred to as "machine sockets").
