Evaluation method for aging-friendly level of intelligent multimedia terminals

1 Scope

This document describes the testing and evaluation methods for the aging-friendly functions of intelligent multimedia terminals (terminal products for short).

This document applies to the design, development, production and testing of terminal products that meet the needs of the elderly, and can be used as a reference for other products with similar functions.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 45919-2025 apply to this document.

4 Evaluation Principles

The evaluation of the aging-friendly level of terminal products follows the following principles.

a) User-oriented principle. Focusing on the actual needs and experiences of the elderly, the evaluation indicators determined for evaluating different types of products are consistent with Actual usage scenarios;

b) Scientific principle. The evaluation process adopts a systematic and objective approach, using standardized testing methods and quantitative indicators to evaluate It truly reflects the aging-friendly level of terminal products;

c) Operability principle. The evaluation system should be easy to implement, the evaluation elements should be clear and understandable, and the evaluation process should be clear and easy to execute;

d) Comprehensiveness principle. The evaluation covers the main functions, interface design and operation process of the terminal product, from the perspectives of vision, hearing, interaction, etc.

Evaluate the product from multiple dimensions, including user experience, to fully reflect the aging-friendly level of the terminal product;

e) Validity principle. The evaluation method and process should be verifiable and reproducible, and the evaluation results should be able to truly reflect the terminal product’s performance in the application The actual effects of aging can provide guidance for the optimization and improvement of terminal products.

5 Evaluation factors

The evaluation factors for the aging-friendly level of terminal products are audio assistance, display assistance, interactive assistance, identity recognition (when applicable) and simple mode.

The two-level elements in five aspects are shown in Table 1.
