GB/T 45884-2025 is the English-translated version of 白茶产地判别 近红外光谱法.
GB/T 45884-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering telling where a white tea was grown without a chemical assay — the near infrared principle, the instrument and its settings, the reference sample set split into a training set and a validation set, the building and verification of the discrimination model, the origin determination itself, the model update and maintenance without which a model drifts as new crops come in, and the accuracy of the discrimination. It applies to loose white tea of a single origin and one grade, no more than three years from the production date. First edition, under the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. In force from 1 October 2025. Issued on 30 June 2025, it has been in force since 1 October 2025.

1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions for the use of near-infrared spectroscopy to identify the origin of white tea, and describes the use of near-infrared spectroscopy to identify the origin of white tea.
Methods for origin identification, including principles, instruments and equipment, establishment and verification of near-infrared spectroscopy models, origin identification, model update and maintenance, and identification accuracy.
This document is applicable to loose white tea products with a single origin, uniform variety, and the same category, and the identification date is no more than three years from the production date.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 22291, GB/T 37969 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Establish an origin discrimination model based on feature information recognition
A certain number of representative white tea samples from different origins were collected, their near-infrared spectral characteristics were extracted, and chemometric methods were used to analyze the characteristics of the white tea.
3.2
Near-infrared spectral scanning was performed on white tea from different origins, and a near-infrared spectral data set library consisting of a certain number of white tea samples was established.
