GB/T 45862-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering measuring what a boiler emits rather than estimating it from the fuel invoice — the test boundary and the emission sources of the boiler system, the test requirements, the measurement items, instruments and methods, the calculation of direct and indirect emissions and of the emission per unit of heat output, and the test report, for fossil-fired, mixed-fuel and electrically heated boilers but not waste incineration or waste heat boilers. First edition, with the online monitoring guideline GB/T 45869-2025. In force from 1 February 2026. Issued on 1 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 February 2026.

1 Scope

This document specifies the boiler carbon emission test boundary, emission sources, test and test report requirements, and describes the measurement items, instruments and and methods of measurement and calculation.

This document applies to boilers burning fossil fuels, boilers mixed with or purely burning non-fossil fuels, and electrically heated boilers.

This document is not applicable to the carbon emission testing and calculation of waste incineration boilers and waste heat boilers.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2900.48 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 boiler system boilersystem
