Scope

GB/T 45540-2025 is the English-translated version of 温室气体 产品碳足迹量化方法与要求 化学纤维.

GB/T 45540-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the carbon footprint of a man-made fibre — polyester, nylon, viscose or spandex, but not their recycled grades — the goal and scope definition and the system boundary, the inventory analysis of energy and material flows, the impact assessment in carbon dioxide equivalent, the interpretation, and the partial carbon footprint report, which is what a producer can issue when it holds data for its own stages and not for the whole chain. First edition, in force from 1 October 2025. Issued on 28 March 2025, it has been in force since 1 October 2025.
