1 Scope

This document defines the terms related to the machine-picked cotton harvesting technology, and specifies the requirements for the harvesting conditions, harvesting operation requirements, stacking and Contents on transportation, harvesting information management requirements, etc.

This document is applicable to the harvesting of fine cotton by spindle drum cotton harvester. Other types of cotton varieties and harvesting machinery can refer to implement.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 21397 and NY/T 2673 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 machine-harvestedcotton

Cotton grown and harvested mechanically.

3.2

The difference between the wet mass and the dry mass of seed cotton is expressed as a percentage of the dry mass.

3.3

The percentage of seed cotton contaminated by oil, stalk juice, leaf juice and weed juice caused by mechanical cotton picking as a percentage of the mass of harvested seed cotton.

3.4 Proportion

During harvesting, the number of cotton bales with regular shape and no obvious cotton leakage from the coating is counted among the total number of cotton bales sampled.
