GB/T 45042-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering how much of a blend is polyacrylonitrile preoxidized fibre and how much is the other component — the removal of non-fibrous matter first, the binary pairs covered, from wool and silk through the cellulosics to polyester, the aramids and carbon fibre, the reagent that dissolves the other fibre in each pair, the identification test for the preoxidized fibre, and the correction factor for the mass the surviving fibre itself loses. First edition, under the China National Textile and Apparel Council. In force from 1 July 2025. Issued on 31 December 2024, it has been in force since 1 July 2025.

1 Scope

This document describes the chemical analysis method for the determination of the composition of polyacrylonitrile preoxidized fibers and certain other fibers after removal of non-fibrous matter.

Method for fiber content in mixture.

This document is applicable to polyacrylonitrile pre-oxidized fibers and animal fibers (sheep wool, mulberry silk), cellulose fibers (cotton, linen, lyocell) , Modal, Viscose), Acetate, Triacetate, Polyester, Polyamide, Polyacrylonitrile, Polyethylene Fiber, polypropylene fiber, polylactic acid fiber, polyamide fiber, polyurethane elastic fiber, polyvinyl formal fiber, polyarylate fiber, Meta-aromatic polyamide fiber, para-aromatic polyamide fiber, polyarylene? diazole fiber, polytetrafluoroethylene fiber, polyimide fiber, A two-component mixture of aramid fiber, carbon fiber and polyphenylene sulfide fiber.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Polyacrylonitrile preoxidized fiber

The polyacrylonitrile raw yarn is oxidized by air at a certain temperature to form a heat-resistant ladder-shaped black fiber.

Note. It is an intermediate for preparing polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers.

4 A mixture of polyacrylonitrile pre-oxidized fiber and animal fiber (sodium hypochlorite method)

The principles, reagents, equipment, test procedures, calculation and expression of results involved shall be in accordance with GB/T 2910.4.

The correction factor (d value) for the mass change of oxidized fibers is 1.02.
