Local Interconnect Network (LIN) transceivers are low-cost serial communication devices found in vehicle body electronics and other embedded control systems. This is Part 2 of the series on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) evaluation of transceivers in integrated circuits, and it deals specifically with the LIN type. It adopts an international standard.

Integrated circuit designers and manufacturers, automotive electronics suppliers, EMC test laboratories, and engineers who must judge how transceiver devices behave with respect to electromagnetic emissions and immunity will find it relevant. Purchasers and system designers can use a common evaluation approach when comparing devices from different vendors, instead of relying on each supplier's own test setup.

It is a recommended (GB/T) standard and is voluntary unless required by contract or by another binding document. It was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 March 2027.
