1 Scope
This document specifies the conservation and breeding plan, site requirements, personnel requirements, feeding conditions and other requirements of the Crested Ibis (Nipponia nippon) under artificial breeding conditions.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Nestling
Individuals from hatching to 45 days old.
3.2 juvenile
Individuals aged 46 days to 1 year.
3.3 Sub-adult
Individuals from 1 year old to sexually mature.
3.4 Adult
Sexually mature individuals are usually no younger than 2 years old.
3.5 Bird parents
Crested ibis parents during the incubation period.
