GB/T 44567-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the calcium fluoride grown for use between 190 nm and 400 nm, where ordinary optical glass no longer passes light — the technical requirements on the crystal, the optical homogeneity and the stress birefringence left by growth, the dispersion, the striae that show as ice-crack lines inside the blank, the test methods for each, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport, storage and the documents that travel with the crystal. First edition, under the China Machinery Industry Federation. In force from 1 April 2025. Issued on 29 September 2024, it has been in force since 1 April 2025.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
The applied wavelength is 190nm~400nm calcium fluoride crystal.
3.2 Optical homogeneity
The degree of consistency of the refractive index at each point inside the crystal in the same direction.
3.3
The derivative of a medium's refractive index as a function of wavelength.
3.4 Stress birefringence
Birefringence is caused by stress within the crystal.
3.5 Stripes
Ice crack-like stripe defects inside calcium fluoride crystal.
