Scope
GB/T 44451-2024 is the English-translated version of 卫星导航定位探空系统 探空仪.
GB/T 44451-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the sonde that a weather balloon carries aloft — the sensor, navigation and transmission modules, the static and dynamic measurement performance for temperature, humidity and pressure, the check code and modulation of the signal, the data protocol fixed in the normative annex, the battery, the sampling rate and the weight the balloon has to lift, and the environmental adaptability that decides whether the readings hold at altitude. The data protocol in the normative annex is what lets a ground station read a sonde it did not buy. First edition, under the China Meteorological Administration. In force from 29 September 2024. Issued on 29 September 2024, it has been in force since 29 September 2024.
