1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions related to the test methods for evaluating the performance grade of petroleum asphalt and describes the Test conditions, sampling, specimen preparation, test methods and evaluation of test results.
This document applies to solid or semi-solid petroleum bitumen binders for different purposes, and also to the residues of liquid bitumen and emulsified bitumen.

3.1 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1.1 Complex shear modulus complexshearmodulus
The ratio calculated by dividing the peak value of shear stress (tau) by the absolute value of the peak value of shear strain (gamma).
3.1.2 Phase Angle
The difference between the applied sinusoidal strain and the generated sinusoidal stress in the controlled strain mode, or between the applied stress and the generated sinusoidal stress in the stress test mode, is The radian angle difference caused by the time lag between the strains generated.
3.1.3 Short-term aging
Aging of asphalt caused by heat and air during the production of asphalt mixtures.
