Scope
GB/T 44297-2024 is the English-translated version of 公共安全视频图像信息数据项.
GB/T 44297-2024 defines the data items of video and image information for public security in China. It is the data dictionary underneath the Chinese video surveillance infrastructure: the standard that says what a camera record, a video clip, a detected person, a detected vehicle, a scene, an event or a feature vector consists of when one system passes it to another. That interoperability is what turns a collection of separate camera networks into a searchable whole, and it is also what makes this one of the more consequential data standards in the country. The document sets the attributes by which each data item is described, its sequence number, name, identifier, representation format, description and referenced data element, and then defines eighteen groups of data items covering the camera, the platform, video clips and images, file objects, persons, motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and articles of interest, scenes, events, target areas, moving targets, subscriptions and their notifications, target feature vectors and the data organisation library, with application examples and two informative annexes. For a video platform vendor, an integrator or an analytics supplier working in China, this is the interface the data crosses.
