Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required.

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 44276 "Microscope Cover Slips". GB/T 44276 has published the following parts.

- Part 1: Dimensional deviation, thickness and optical properties;

-Part 2: Material quality, finished product standards and packaging methods.

This document is equivalent to ISO 8255-1:2017 "Microscope cover slips Part 1: Dimensional deviation, thickness and optical properties".

Introduction

With the rapid development of various scientific and technological fields at home and abroad, cover glass is widely used in scientific research, teaching, medical care and biotechnology.

Before using optical microscopy to study thin slices of biological specimens cut from organisms, in order to prevent the biological specimens from being to prevent the specimen from dehydrating and deteriorating in the air, it is necessary to bury the specimen with a cover glass, and then place the cover glass in the optical path of the microscope imaging beam.

When designing the aberration correction of the microscope objective, the relevant parameters of the cover glass must be considered so that the optical microscope can play its normal role in various applications.

It can ensure the design, quality and application of optical microscope products, promote coordination among enterprises and improve production efficiency.

In view of the above reasons, the main indicators of cover glass are standardized and normalized according to the parameters and usage functions of the cover glass.

It is very necessary.

GB/T 44276 "Microscope Cover Slips" contains the terms, requirements, markings and logos of cover slips, and Therefore, GB/T 44276 "Microscope Cover Slips" is divided into two parts.

Part 1: Dimensional deviation, thickness and optical properties. The purpose is to specify the dimensional deviation, thickness and optical properties of cover glasses.

Require.

Part 2: Material quality, finished product standards and packaging methods. The purpose is to specify the material quality, finished product standards and packaging methods of cover glasses.

Installation requirements and test methods.

Microscope Cover Slips Part 1.

Dimensional deviations, thickness and optical properties

1 Scope

This document specifies the dimensional tolerances, thickness and optical properties of microscope cover glasses for use in the visible spectral range (400 nm to 760 nm).

Characteristics requirements.

3 Terms and definitions

There are no terms or definitions that require definition in this document.

ISO and IEC maintain terminology databases at the following addresses.

4 Requirements

4.1 General

Any medium between the specimen and the microscope objective is part of the objective that produces optical effects. This medium is usually the cover glass.

and immersion fluid. Immersion fluids are specified in ISO 8036 and their refractive index should be considered when selecting cover glasses.

Microscope objectives, unless equipped with a correction collar, are designed for specific immersion media (such as air, oil, or water) and cover glass thickness.

The design thickness of the cover glass is t=0.17 mm, unless otherwise marked on the objective.

When using microscope objectives with high numerical aperture, deviations of the cover glass thickness from the nominal value can lead to severe optical aberrations, primarily Spherical aberration.

The refractive index of the cover glass material is maintained with good chromatic aberration correction over the specified visible spectrum. This is achieved by specifying a refractive index close to the eye.

The spectral sensitivity maximum is achieved by the refractive index ne and the corresponding dispersion coefficient nue at the reference wavelength (lambdae=546.07 nm).

4.2 Thickness deviation

The thickness deviation of the cover glass should comply with the requirements in Table 1.
