1 Scope
This document specifies the main technical contents, methods and management requirements for the operation and management of hydropower projects.
This document is applicable to the operation and management of large and medium-sized hydropower projects, and can be used as a reference for small hydropower projects.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Hydropower Project
Hydropower station projects with hydropower generation as the main task and pumped storage power station projects with peak load regulation, frequency regulation, energy storage and emergency standby as the main tasks Station engineering.
3.2 Hydraulic structures
Buildings that control and regulate water flow, develop and utilize water resources, prevent and control water disasters, and achieve the goals of hydropower projects.
