GB/T 44128-2024 specifies the recommended braking start pressure of the pneumatic brake systems of heavy commercial vehicle combinations, which the body of the draft calls heavy commercial trains, and the measurement, the recording and the taking of that pressure on a roller brake test bench.

Clause 1 limits the document to the measurement of the brake start pressure of the pneumatic brake systems of the category N and category O vehicles specified in GB/T 15089, and states no exclusion.

The table of contents gives six clauses and three informative annexes: 1 Scope, 2 Normative references, 3 Terms and definitions, 4 Recommended value of system brake starting pressure, 5 Test equipment requirements and 6 Test methods, then Appendix A, a structure number comparison table, Appendix B, a roller brake test bench braking start pressure test report, and Appendix C, an example of the printout of the test results of a roller brake test bench measuring the brake start pressure.

Clause 3 adopts the terms defined in GB/T 5620 and adds four entries: rolling resistance, the resistance generated by the roller when the vehicle produces braking force or torque on the roller brake test bench; trailer control pressure, the pressure at the trailer control line connection; and two further quantities for which the draft prints only the symbols Pc and Pt and not the term names, the air pressure in the brake chamber of the brake system, and the trailer control pressure measured when the braking force or torque begins to increase beyond the rolling resistance, which a note says can only be measured during the pressurisation process.

The draft breaks off at the end of clause 3, so clauses 4 to 6 appear only as the titles printed in the table of contents.

The foreword records that the document is a modified adoption of ISO 20918:2007, that the applicable vehicle types were added in clause 1, that GB/T 5620 was put in place of ISO 611 and GB/T 15089 added as a normative reference, that the sign of the roller rotation resistance was changed because F is the universal standard symbol for force, and that the selection of the initial brake pressure value of the right axle was changed in Appendix C because the value in the original ISO file was incorrect. It was issued on 2024-05-28 and has applied since 2024-09-01.
