GB/T 43785-2024 is the English-translated version of 光钟性能表征及测量方法.
GB/T 43785-2024 describes the main parameters that characterize the performance of optical clocks - atomic clocks referenced to an optical-band transition of trapped ions or neutral atoms in an optical lattice - and the methods for measuring them.
It applies to performance evaluation during the design, research and development, and manufacture of optical clocks.
After defining the key terms (frequency stability, Allan deviation, optical frequency comb, self-comparison) and outlining the structure of a clock - optical local oscillator, quantum reference system, locking system and output system - it sets out the performance characterization, the measurement environment and equipment, the measurement methods and the content of the test report.
