This document is part 4 of GB/T 4340 "Vickers Hardness Test for Metallic Materials". GB/T 4340 has published the following parts.

--- Part 1.Test methods;

--- Part 2.Inspection and calibration of hardness testers;

--- Part 3.Calibration of standard hardness blocks;

--- Part 4.Table of hardness values.

This document replaces GB/T 4340.4-2009 "Vickers Hardness Test for Metal Materials Part 4.Table of Hardness Values", and

Compared with GB/T 4340.4-2009, in addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Added the statement of the calculation method of Vickers hardness value (see Chapter 4);

--- Delete the Vickers hardness value with an average indentation diameter greater than 1.400mm (see Table 3 of the.2009 edition).

This document is equivalent to ISO 6507-4.2018 "Vickers Hardness Test for Metal Materials Part 4.Table of Hardness Values".

Introduction

GB/T 4340 "Vickers Hardness Test for Metal Materials" aims to standardize the Vickers hardness test method of metal materials, the inspection and calibration of hardness testers

Standard, standard hardness block calibration and hardness value and so on.

GB/T 4340 consists of four parts.

--- Part 1.Test methods;

--- Part 2.Inspection and calibration of hardness testers;

--- Part 3.Calibration of standard hardness blocks;

--- Part 4.Table of hardness values.

This document provides indentation diagonals below 1.961N, between 1.961N~29.42N and between 49.03N~980.7N

4 Vickers hardness table

Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3 give the Vickers hardness value table calculated according to the ISO 6507-1 Vickers hardness formula.

The range < HV0.2 is shown in Table 1; the range HV0.2~HV3 is shown in Table 2; the range HV5~HV100 is shown in Table 3.
