1 Scope and Purpose

Except as otherwise provided below, Chapter 1 of GB/T 42125.1-2024 applies.

1.1 Scope

1.1.1 Applicable Equipment for This Document

delete.

Delete the first paragraph.

replace.

Replace the items above a) to c) in the second paragraph with the following text.

This document specifies the special safety requirements for cabinet-type X-ray systems that fall under any of the following categories a), b), or c).

Increase.

Add the following three paragraphs at the end of the article.

The equipment to which this document applies may be protective equipment or partially protective equipment, and may be an X-ray generator with a voltage not exceeding 500kV.

A cabinet-type X-ray system is a system that includes X-ray tubes installed in a cabinet. This cabinet is independent of the floor it is placed on.

Based on the existing building structure. The cabinet-type X-ray system is designed to at least house a portion of the material to be irradiated and to provide radiation during the generation of X-rays.

Attenuation is used to prevent personnel from being exposed to X-ray radiation beams.

Cabinet-type X-ray systems are used in industrial, commercial, and public settings, for example, to inspect materials, analyze materials, and screen packages.

1.1.2 Equipment not included in the scope of this document

Increase.

Add the following new columns.

aa) Equipment intended to apply X-ray radiation to humans or animals;

(bb) Includes X-ray tubes, but excludes complete X-ray hazard shielding equipment, such as.

- Equipment intended for use in a shielded room where personnel are prohibited from entering during operation;

- Equipment intended for use with stand-alone portable or temporary shielding;

- Equipment intended to generate X-ray emission beams.

1.2 Purpose

1.2.1 Contents included within the scope of this document

Increase.

Add the following content after the first paragraph.

This document specifies the design and methodological requirements for the construction of cabinet-type X-ray systems, for operators, bystanders, and trained maintenance personnel.

Provide adequate protection, as well as prevent the surrounding area from being harmed by unintentionally released X-rays and mechanical hazards associated with the conveyor belt.

Danger.
