Scope

GB/T 40809-2021 is the English-translated version of 铸造铝合金 半固态流变压铸成形工艺规范.

GB/T 40809-2021 sets the process rules for semi-solid rheo-diecasting of cast aluminium alloys, in which a slurry of non-dendritic primary solid phase suspended in the melt is transferred to die-casting equipment and formed into a part in one operation.

It covers the whole process flow: raw and auxiliary materials, charge make-up and melting, melt treatment, ladling, preparation of high and low solid fraction slurries, slurry transfer, rheo-diecasting, casting inspection and heat treatment.

It defines terms such as semi-solid rheological slurry, rheological diecasting forming, solid fraction and low solid fraction slurry. It draws on the standards for cast aluminium alloys, aluminium alloy castings and die castings, tensile testing and online degassing of aluminium melts. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

1 Scope

This document specifies the process flow, raw and auxiliary materials, ingredients and melting, melt treatment, and extraction of cast aluminum alloy semi-solid rheological die casting.

Material, high/low solid phase slurry preparation, slurry transfer, rheological die casting, casting inspection and heat treatment.

This document is applicable to the semi-solid rheological die casting forming process of cast aluminum alloy.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute the indispensable clauses of this document through normative references in the text. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5611 apply to this document.

3.1 Semisolid rheological slurry

The metal melt in the solidification process is processed by applying physical or chemical technical means to obtain a uniform metal melt.

A solid-liquid mixture in which a certain proportion of non-dendritic primary solid phases (mainly spherulites or near spherulites) are suspended.

3.2 Rheological diecasting forming

The semi-solid rheological slurry is transferred to the die-casting forming equipment, and the forming method of the part is obtained by one-time processing.

3.3 Solid fraction

The percentage of the mass of the solid phase in the semi-solid slurry to the mass of the slurry.

Note: The solid phase fraction specified in this document is the solid phase fraction under equilibrium solidification conditions corresponding to the temperature of the semi-solid slurry. This solid phase fraction is not the actual solid phase Fraction.

3.4 Low solid phase semi-solid rheological slurry

It can flow naturally without forming a semi-solid rheological slurry with a fixed shape.
