1 Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, principles, equipment, and sample collection for measuring the bulk density of coke in a vessel with a volume of 0.2m3.

Take and reduce scores, test procedures, result calculations and precision, etc.

This document applies to coke with a particle size not greater than 125mm.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Bulk densityofcoke

Under specified conditions, the ratio of the mass of coke filled in the container to the volume of the container.

4 Principle

Fill a container with known mass and volume with coke, and calculate the bulk density of coke based on the mass of coke in the container and the volume of the container.

5 Equipment

5.1 Container. a cube with a volume of 0.2m3, a smooth inner surface, a firm structure, and an external handle.

5.2 Weighing instrument. platform scale or electronic scale, the maximum weighing 300kg, weighing error does not exceed 0.1% of the maximum load.

6 Sample taking and reduction

The sampling and reduction of samples shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1997.
